Project reach  at california institute for innovation and improvementCompton Unified School District (CUSD)and CSU Dominguez Hills, developed a partnership to impact student achievement in the primary grades and secondary configurations of middle school and high school. CSUDH recruits, trains, places, and supports tutors to be placed in CUSD school settings. The goal  of the partnership is two-fold; to provide a firm foundation for students learning in the primary grades and establish a strong foundation for students at the secondary level to capitalize on college and career readiness opportunities through the use of qualified tutors.

WE ARE LOOKING FOR …
Current college students to tutor in the following areas:
     • K-2nd Grade: Literacy Intervention
     • 3rd- 8th grade: Mathematics Intervention
     • 9th-12th grade: Mathematics, Science, English, Social Sciences or Spanish
     • Saturday Employment: Middle School English or mathematics
     • Highly qualified tutors with substantial career experience in the content area
     • Tutors passionate to work with students and make an impactful positive difference in their lives!

PROGRAM CRITERIA
GPA – minimum 2.75
Pass Interview
 Pass Diagnostic Exam 
Cleared TB Test, Cleared CSUDH & Compton USD Live Scans, and Cleared Background check

**All requirements must be met before official hire is made.**

COMPENSATION
Rate of Pay
     • $12.00-$14.00 per hour
Hours Per Week
     • A maximum of 20 hours per week (CSUDH Student)
     • A maximum of 25 hours per week (Non-CSUDH Student)
Pay Period: Pay will be disbursed bi-weekly
